Allen Gustafson, MD

His commitment to professional involvement and innovation is what drives Allen Gustafson, MD, president of Gustafson orthopedics Incorporated in Loma Linda, California. As one of the founders of the Peterson Tribology Research Lab at Loma Linda University, Dr. Gustafson also designs and tests the implants that he uses in clinical research, gaining extensive and specialized knowledge of primary and complex hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Gustafson is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at Loma Linda University. It√Ęs at Loma Linda where he earned his MD degree and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Gustafson also completed a clinical and research fellowship in joint reconstruction at the University of California, San Diego.

In the fall of 2002, Dr. Gustafson opened a new practice in Loma Linda, Gustafson orthopedic Specialists. His professional memberships include the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons; orthopedic Research Society; Fellow, American Academy of orthopedic Surgeons; and Fellow, American College of Surgeons.
